Tour de Yorkshire - race information

Riders will finish the first day of racing in Selby, on Thursday 2 May 2019.

Earlier that day, riders will set off from Doncaster. The route will see it skirting the southern edge of the district – visiting Kirk Smeaton and Womersley – before taking a loop towards Howden, Beverley and Pocklington then swinging back towards Selby and visiting Escrick, Stillingfleet, Cawood and Thorpe Willoughby on the way.

Most of the race route will see rolling road closures. This means sections of the road will be closed for around 45 minutes to one hour at a time. The riders have a police escort around the route to make the temporary closures.

At the finish event in Selby, Gowthorpe will be closed for much of the race day and it is a main spectator area. Other roads may also be closed. To view the route map click here
