North Yorkshire and York Safeguarding Week 2019 takes place next week, from Monday 24 to Friday 28 June with the theme ‘Safeguarding is Everybody’s Business’.
Each year Safeguarding Week aims to raise awareness of the different forms that abuse can take and looks at some of the issues affecting North Yorkshire and York. One of the focus areas this year is Modern Slavery.
Working with local partners, Selby District Council is hosting two awareness sessions about Modern Slavery at the Civic Centre on Monday 24 June. The first session will take place at 4.30pm, and the next at 6pm.
Everyone is welcome, so please feel free to come along and to share the event information in your area.
