Cllr Chilvers explained, “This money has been raised over the last year while I’ve been chairman of Selby District Council. I’ve organised three concerts, two at Selby Abbey and one at Brayton Church. I’ve packed bags at Tesco supermarket, baked cakes, organised a tombola and even two fashion shows.

“I’ve enjoyed  my year as chairman raising funds for these two charities that are very close to my heart and I’m incredibly proud to have raised this money for them.”
