Get your business ready for the para-cycling international event with this free workshop.
A free window dressing workshop to help local businesses and venues prepare for the Yorkshire 2019 Para-Cycling International event in September has been announced.
The ‘Visual display and window dressing’ workshop, on Tuesday 27 August at the Barn, Manor Farm in Tadcaster, is for any businesses, not just retailers, and will help with advice for creating eye-catching window and interior displays. The event will be hosted by Helen Goodwin from Made You Look. Places can be booked via Eventbrite – search Tadcaster window dressing or use this link .
The event has been organised by Selby District Council and local events group Tadcaster TEMPT to help the town celebrate as it welcomes cyclists and visitors to the major cycling event, which takes place on Saturday 21 September.
Executive member and Selby District Councillor, Chris Pearson, explained, “This workshop is just one way we can support businesses by giving them practical advice on making the most of this opportunity.
“The races will see amazing performances from inspiring athletes whose next step will be competing at the Paralympics. We know there’ll be lots of visitors and residents alike who will want to experience the event and associated community event on Saturday 21 September.”
David Gluck, from Tadcaster TEMPT, added, “We know the town will be awash with the para-cycling rainbow colours as we welcome riders, visitors and residents to the town. This workshop is a great way that businesses can transform their displays to make a great first impression as they join the para-cycling event celebrations.”
