The North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and local elections will take place on Thursday 6 May.

Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner election:

Philip Allott is standing as the Conservative Party candidate.

James Barker is standing as the Liberal Democrats candidate.

Alison Hume is standing as the Labour and Co-operative Party candidate.

Keith Tordoff is standing as an Independent candidate.

Anybody who wants to vote in the election and isn’t yet registered to vote, should register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote by 11.59pm on Monday 19 April.

For those that are unable to attend a polling station or would prefer not to, the deadline to apply to register to vote by post is 5pm, Tuesday 20 April or apply to vote via proxy (someone on your behalf) by 5pm on Tuesday 27 April.
