What’s the job?
An opportunity has arisen for a caring individual to join our Community Support Team to work with residents across the district offering housing related support (Lifeline). You will provide flexible, right first time support by assessing and responding to the needs of older and vulnerable residents living within the district, enabling them to retain their independence. The successful applicant will be required to take part in a standby and callout scheme on a rotational basis to respond to emergencies out of hours.
You will support the Community Support (Lifeline) Supervisor to deliver and develop the Lifeline service in order to deliver a high quality service ensuring high standards of service delivery and excellent customer focused service whilst delivering great value.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a person who is hard working and who has the confidence to work alone. You will have the skills and ability to successfully plan your day and be able to deal with emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.
Experience of working in a housing support or related field is essential, as is experience of working with older or vulnerable people and an understanding of the role of support for older people in achieving independence. You will also need a current drivers licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes, for which a lump sum and mileage allowance are payable.
