We want to see less litter in our district. We're proud of where we live and we want you to be too.
Have you seen our Litter Heroes Hall of Fame?
We're also taking part in the Bin it for Good project which sees litter bins transformed into charity collection pots, featuring a different local charity each month.
Following more than 500 votes from residents St Leonard's Hospice was chosen as the final charity to benefit from the scheme.
Figures show that litter on the street reduced by almost 40% in January, which is fantastic. We've handed over our first cheque from the scheme to Asthma UK. During February the scheme raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Care.
We've taken part in the #1PieceofRubbish initiaitve which asked residents to pick up one piece of rubbish and put it in the bin. We've had fantastic support from residents and the local community, including Tadcaster Albion Football Club and Riccall Primary School.
