At the Heart of Yorkshire
Selby District is a fascinating mix of bustling market towns and charming villages, with medieval history, stunning architecture and beautiful countryside.
With a wealth of places to experience and enjoy, the Selby District Trails will help you to explore and discover all that the District has to offer, whether you’re new to the area, visiting, or (re) discovering what’s on your own doorstep.
Take inspiration from our themed trails – ‘Escape in your Own Back Yard’, which encourages you to explore the ancient woodlands, nature reserves and wide open spaces of our District; ‘Your Home’s History’ which leads you to discover rich history and heritage, and uncovers stories that really bring our District to life and ‘Young – at the Heart of Yorkshire’ which inspires adventure and encourages you to spend some quality family time together.
When the time is right, the trail postcards and booklet will be available for you to pick up from various attractions, shops and coffee shops throughout the District. For now though, you can view and download each of the trails, using the links below. Once you’ve downloaded the trails, take a closer look at the interactive map for details about places and activities to visit, as well as places to eat and drink along the way. Enjoy your District discoveries!
