Three Swans Sportive

Each September, the Three Swans Sportive starts outside Selby Abbey in support of Yorkshire Cancer Research.  The ever-popular charity bike ride is a great opportunity to enjoy the scenic Yorkshire countryside as flat and quiet roads take riders through picturesque villages.  The ride is suitable for all ages and abilities.  You can choose to cycle either 30, 60 or 100 miles non-competitively along a fully signposted and marshalled route- perfect for your first sportive.

The Tadcaster Sportive takes place each April, raising funds for the Martin House Children’s Hospice.

The ride takes in some of the beautiful scenic country roads around Tadcaster and features two different routes of 60km and 100km. The 60km route offers a great chance for first timers to have a go at their first sportive.  The 100km route is more challenging and offers an opportunity for riders to test themselves.

Great Selby Bike Ride

Every May, the Selby District Lions Club hosts the Great Selby Bike Ride.  This raises funds for numerous local charities.

The bike ride offers a great challenge for cyclists of all abilities, with all routes passing through the district's picturesque villages and country roads.  The 25-mile bike ride offers a great opportunity for families and occasional cyclists to get out and ride, whilst the 45-mile route offers more of a challenge for keen cyclists.
