Who are we?
Selby District Council is a ‘Data Controller’ as defined by Article 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Customer services provide support with a wide range of key services offered by the Council including:
- Council Tax and Benefits
- Housing (Social and Private)
- Property Maintenance
- Environmental Health
- Refuse and Street cleaning
- Planning Applications
- Neighborhood and Community Engagement
We offer support via telephone, face to face and email and self-service facilities both on our web page and with our Scan stations, scanning key information to assist and support your enquiry.

Who do you share this data with?
Information will be shared with the relevant departments within the Council in order to facilitate your request. If we suspect that you are acting unlawfully or fraudulently, we may pass this information on to the Police or our Fraud investigators.

Information is kept in line with statutory retention periods or if we have an organisational need to keep it.
