As businesses across our district reopen and begin to welcome people back, we know that the safety of customers and staff alike will be on everyone’s minds.
We have distributed 'Back to Business Packs' across the district, to support with social distancing measures and to help re-open your doors safely to customers, residents and visitors, when you’re ready.
It’s important that you, your customers, our residents, and visitors feel safe with any changes that have been brought about by the lifting of restrictions. The ‘Back to Business Pack’ has been created to encourage people to respect social distancing and will help you reinforce how you will operate going forward.
The following resources can be downloaded:
• A poster showing the maximum number of customers allowed in your premises (to fill in accordingly)
• A poster reminding customers to maintain social distancing
• A poster for businesses who prefer contactless payments
• A poster encouraging residents and visitors to sanitise their hands
We will be supporting our communities through the transition by presenting a consistent message across the district, reassuring people that they are welcome and reminding them to protect themselves and others.
We will also be delivering a marketing campaign aimed at bringing people back to their High Streets and encouraging them to shop locally.
Effective communication with your customers would also help to reinforce this message. Let your customers know, by social media or other means, what your opening hours are, how to access your business, if telephone ordering/ click and collect is available, encourage respectful queueing and to maintain social distancing.
