The Forward Plan is a programme of work, detailing the decisions the Executive intends to take over the coming four months.
In line with The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012, the Forward Plan also serves as the required 28 days notice of key decisions and private items. The Forward Plan is published at the end of each month.

The officer delegation scheme (in Part 3 of the constitution) sets out which officers can make decisions, and which decisions they can make. An officer who can take decisions under the delegation scheme may authorise other officers to make these decisions on their behalf. This is known as sub-delegation.
