The Veritau group provides internal audit, counter fraud, risk management and information governance related services to a number of councils, schools and other public sector clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding internal audit team. You will support the delivery of internal audit services to a number of new and existing public sector clients. The role will include the development of risk based audit plans, the supervision of staff on audit assignments and the provision of specialist advice. In addition, you will play a key role in the company’s ambitious plans to become the provider of choice for assurance services to local government in the North of England.   

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in internal audit, preferably gained in the public sector. You should also be able to manage your own time, develop good working relationships with clients and be able to communicate effectively. You should also be confident, excellent at identifying solutions and be willing to question and challenge established practices.

The post will be based at either our York or Northallerton office and the role will involve some travel.
