Accessible Communication Survey

1 Start 2 Complete

This survey is about how well Selby District Council housing service communicates with you as a tenant or a leaseholder. The survey has been organised by a scrutiny group of tenants and leaseholders, not the Council. We want to find out if communication from the Council meets your needs, or whether they should improve the way they send you information.

We are focusing on written communication, such as letters, emails, text messages, leaflets and newsletters. We want to make sure that information is written in a clear way, that people can easily understand. We also want to find out if people with disabilities can read and understand the information that is sent to them. Also, we want to find out if people whose first language is not English are able to understand information.

By answering the following questions, you will be helping to improve the ways that the Council communicates with its customers.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this short survey. There are 10 questions, which ask you for your opinions and also for your comments on different topics.

Please remember that this survey is about the Council’s housing service, not the Council as a whole.

Firstly, we want to ask you some general questions
Now, we would like yo ask you some questions about your use of the internet and online communication
Moving on, we would like to ask some questions about the Councils newsletter for tenants and leaseholders
If you are interested, or require more information about a focus group or If you would like to join the Scrutiny Panel of Tenants and Leaseholders. Please include your name, address, email, telephone number and email address below and Selby District Councils Tenant Participation Officier will contact you.
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer these questions. Once we have received your replies, we will be able to speak to the Council about what they can do to improve the way they send communication to tenants and leaseholders.

We will also make sure that the findings from the survey will be published, and the responses from the Council to our suggestions.
