  • Michael Glynn, English Democrats - 677
  • Darren Haley, UK Independence Party - 1,635
  • Tom Holvey, Liberal Democrats - 9,180
  • Duncan Lorriman, British National Party - 1,377
  • Jan Marshall, Labour - 13,297

Nigel Adams wins.

Total electorate: 72,804

Counting took place at the Abbey Leisure Centre, Scott Road, Selby. Voter turnout in the constituency was 71.15%.

The new Selby and Ainsty constituency covers the Selby district, alongside communities to the north-east of this area, including Martson Moor, Ouseburn, Ribston, Spofforth and Lower Wharfedale.
