Composting is a natural process which breaks down organic matter, such as kitchen and garden waste, into a nutrient rich soil like material that is ideal for using back on your garden.
Composing at home reduces the amount of waste being sent to landfill. Even though organic matter rots down in landfill sites it produces methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. Composting this type of material at home produces carbon dioxide instead which is 20 times less harmful than methane. You also get free compost to use!
