You can make some payments online by debit card. You can currently make payments for the following:

• Council Tax
• Invoices for money owed to the Council (Debtors), and
• Housing Rents and Garage Rents

The service is provided by Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank (part of the Santander group) on behalf of Selby District Council. You can make payments 24 hours a day 365 days a year using either a Maestro or Delta Debit Card - Credit cards are not accepted by Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank. You will need to register with Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank to use the service. To do this, click on 'access online payments' below. This will take you to a new screen. Here, scroll down the page until you see 'New users register now'. Select this and then follow the simple on-line instructions to register. After you have registered, you will also be able to pay other bills this way.

Please make sure when paying your council tax to quote your eight digit account reference. This will begin with the number 20, 21 or 22.

Invoice account references for debtors are seven digits long and will begin with the number 4.
