There are five light industrial workshop developments within the district which are jointly owned by Selby District Council, North Yorkshire County Council and Yorkshire Forward. The developments are let and managed by Selby District Council on behalf of the partnership.

There are a total of 46 units, 28 of which are located in Selby at two developments and 18 in Sherburn in Elmet across three developments. Unit sizes vary at each development.

Development Locations
Each document below has details of the facilities at the specific sites. These include the size and exact location of the development.

Selby - The Vivars & The Prospect Centre, Selby are situated just outside Selby town centre off the A1041 Bawtry Road. The developments benefit from superb access to the major roads network, close to the Selby Bypass, only 7 miles from junction 34 of the M62 and 8 miles from the A1. Also easily accessible by public transport, the developments are 5 minutes walk from the bus and rail termini.

Both developments are suitable for small businesses and consist of small workshops accessible from a central corridor. Communal kitchen and toilet facilities are provided, along with free parking. 

Sherburn In Elmet - Sherburn Enterprise Centre, Swordfish Way & Hurricane Close provide self contained industrial units in the heart of Sherburn Enterprise Park. There are strong transport links to the A1 which is just over 1 mile away and the park is also close to the A1-M1 link road to the East and to the M62 which is 5 miles to the South.

The units benefit from steel roller shutter doors and reinforced concrete floors making them suitable for general industrial use.
