What’s the job?
The Economic Development & Regeneration service is responsible for delivering economic growth and prosperity across Selby District.
This includes supporting our dynamic business community, creating and enabling opportunities for inward investment and delivering a range of urban and rural regeneration projects.
Selby District Council is making significant investments in this exciting area to support its Economic Development Framework that willshape the future economic and business landscape of the district, making it a key player across the Yorkshire region. Who are we looking for?
As a result of a recent internal promotion we are now looking for an engaging and entrepreneurial individual to join the new Economy and Infrastructure team and lead the Council’s inward investment approach.
You will have the proven ability to work collaboratively with businesses and developers to foster investment and growth, and you will have an awareness of local investment strategy and portfolio management.
Ideally you’ll have experience of working closely with the public sector to secure external funding, and will be able to establish and manage a Customer Relationship Management System to coordinate investment queries and business accounts.
