Selby District means growth - Kellingley

Working closely with Selby District Council, Harworth Group has been granted outline planning permission to develop the 151-acre site of the former Kellingley mine to provide up to 1.45 million square feet of manufacturing and distribution space, which could bring as much as £200m of benefit to the local economy.

The site is well-suited to small industries but its size, as well as the fantastic rail and road links, makes it suitable for logistics too. Harworth are taking a flexible approach: they'll sell bits of the site for companies to build their own units or will do long-leasehold deals where they act as the landlord once new units have been built.  The aim is to bring high value employment back to the site as quickly as possible.
