Selby District Council is working towards achieving the Dementia Friendly status. Following a meeting in July that included Councillor Sweeting, Selby District Dementia Action Alliance (SDDAA) has been set-up.
Action alliances are local structures put in place to help create a successful and sustainable dementia-friendly community by bringing individuals and organisations together to work towards shared aims. Local organisations involved in the local alliance sign up to the National Dementia Declaration and set out small action plans to help make their community more dementia friendly.
Selby District Dementia Action Alliance launched on the 15 October 2015, for more information on the alliance click here.
