The Department for Communities and Local Government issued new guidance in March 2010 which required that all Council's review their local lists to ensure that they are fit for purpose. Selby District Council in connection with the majority of the other North Yorkshire Authorities have produced a substantially revised and improved list which will in due course be adopted for use.
The DCLG guidance recommends that local authorities should consult on their local lists prior to adoption for a minimum period of 6 weeks. The revised local list can be viewed here. Should you wish to make any comments on the revised local lists then please send them to the following e-mail address djones@selby.gov.uk by no later than 14/02/2011.
Following the closure of the consultation period, any comments that have been made will be assessed and any necessary changes to the local list will be made in consultation with the other North Yorkshire authorities prior to it being published and used as part of the planning application process. |
