There’s a new way to stay up-to-date and receive community news, information from the Police and Fire Service, alerts about emergency incidents like flooding and even details about your bin collections.
North Yorkshire Community Messaging is a free system that lets you register to receive up-to-date community news tailored to where you live or work.
Already widely used by North Yorkshire Police, Selby District Council has recently joined and we’ll be using Community Messaging to share key community events, news and updates.
The new service has been designed for you to get the information when you want, how you want it. You can choose the type of the message you receive and the places you want to know about – it could be both where you live and where you work, for example.
