An Air Quality Management Area (AQMA) has been designated around the area of New Street in Selby where levels of nitrogen dioxide (a gas emitted from vehicles and other combustion processes) are currently exceeding limits set by the government.
To improve air quality and protect the health of residents we are drawing up an Air Quality Action Plan (AQAP) to improve air quality around New Street and the wider Selby district.
We are interested in hearing your views about the draft action plan.

Q8. The draft Air Quality Action Plan sets out categories of measures that the Council proposes should be the focus of attention to improve air quality in Selby. These have been provisionally prioritised by the Council. In your view, what importance should be given to these categories?
*Membership of a car club provides access to a vehicle when you need one reducing the need for personal car ownership. Membership costs are usually lower than the cost of purchasing, insuring and taxing your own vehicle. They can be particularly good for reducing the need for second car ownership and can also be used by businesses instead of operating private pool vehicles.
